An Emergency Message to Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer

. The Democratic Party is fortunate to have several worthwhile candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for president of United States. If we were having a contest for the nomination in a normal year, all the candidates could see the contest playing out over a course of many weeks or, possibly, months. They would also know that, even if the worst were to come to pass, the worst thing that would result is a presidency of a boring Republican.

. This is not a normal year. We are not facing normal consequences.

. If we do not defeat Donald Trump in November, he will continue his demolition of the federal government, the Atlantic Alliance and most of our civil liberties.

. As of now, the “moderate” lane is badly split. But the progressives, except for Nevada, have never won a majority of Democratic voters in any contest, as shown by this list of percentages won by progressive candidates:

Iowa N.H. NV

Sanders 24.7 25.6 46.8

Warren 18.5 9.2. 9.8

Total. 43.2 34.8 56.6

. According to Real Clear Politics, this is how the polls look going forward:

South Carolina California Texas N.C.

Sanders 21.4 26.3 22.3 22.5

Warren 9.2 12 15.3 10.5

Total 30.6 38.3 37.6 33

. A majority of Democratic voters are not progressive. They want evolutionary and not…
