Any use of nuclear weapons will probably release radioactivity that will reach a NATO country-thereby triggering Article 5, resulting in NATO joining the war allied with Ukraine. NATO does not need a nuclear response. Its conventional forces can expel Russia from all of Ukraine in short order. Even a dying Putin doesn’t want a general nuclear war.
