Billionaires have always spent money influencing American elections. Isn’t it nice that Bloomberg and Steyer want to spend money to help Democrats, not oppose them? To reduce the role of wealth in politics, the laws have to change. Our people have to get elected to change them. Getting elected takes money. Until the laws change, billionaires on our side is the best hope we have. Look at their views, not their balance sheets. If you foreswear them, you’re bringing a knife to a gunfight.
