First of all, thank you for your kind mention. I like the idea of incentivizing our readers, especially if limited to our subscribers, but I also understand that it is very easy for me to be generous with Medium’s money. I certainly think that the suggestion merits a try. As you recall, I suggested having the ability to index the people who follow us by either alphabet or by subject matter. Might it not be worthwhile to have an index by topic for Medium subscribers? I say this in no way to denigrate the algorithm for choosing articles on our homepage. However, in addition to those articles, both authors and subscribers might wish to go to the work of a specific author, in addition to what opens up on our homepage. I believe this would enhance the value of Medium, especially to subscribers.
