. From what I have been able to observe, it appears that most human attributes — intellect, athletic ability, processing disorders, and all others-are relatively evenly distributed throughout the human race. Both schools and healthcare delivery systems are geared for the middle 2/3 of the population. But those at the very top and the very bottom of the distribution are often not diagnosed or treated appropriately. The growth of knowledge as to how to diagnose and treat a vast number of medical and psychological conditions has far out distanced any increase in resources provided to the institutions to deal with these issues. While you have had difficulties with reference to your processing disorder, it is clear to me and to everyone who reads you that you were blessed to have a truly fine intellect. I am sure that that has been a double edged sword. You knew that your thought processes were anomalous. But you also had the intellect to be able to take advantage of the opportunity for help once you gained some understanding of the problem. Good luck!
