I didn’t say that. I feel the same anger you feel. But screaming at all people who are on the right as if they are uniformly evil and lost to us simply makes no sense. When the writer of the original piece said he felt justified in expressing himself intemperately, I objected because I felt that that approach is counterproductive. This is still politics. It is not civil war. You don’t want a civil war. If there is one, our side will lose, and what will emerge will make Donald Trump look like Mahatma Ghandi.
