I had not learned of the death of Popular Science until I read your article. The news made me sick to my stomach. it follows the same pattern taken by vulture investors to buy local newspapers and destroy them by cutting staff and other measures. There should be a legal mechanism that requires anyone who wishes to close newspapers or magazines of general jurisdiction to at least offer to the public a chance to buy them.
