I must respectfully dissent from your position that Islam and slavery are incompatible. A substantial number of slaves imported into the Western Hemisphere were originally captured by Muslims, then sold to European slave traders. Slavery was abolished in Saudi Arabia in 1962, in Mauritania in 1981 and in Dubai in 2002. People of each of the Abrahamic faiths had some involvement in the slave trade. None emerge into history with clean hands.
