. I am now far to the left of where I once was in terms not only of politics but also on social matters. I have some understanding of the sources of rage on the left. But my former views allowed me to speak to many people who won’t talk to people with your views. Without a discussion far too long to be appropriate here, let me just say that there are enough people against you who are well-armed, skilled in firearms and all related matters, and who not only would not hesitate to use those weapons to prevent your victory, but also would enjoy going so. And that doesn’t even include the military, whose members are not exactly your natural allies (although, if Trump stays around and continues not to resist Putin’s contract on our military, that might change). What would emerge from a second civil war would make Trump look like Bernie Sanders.
