I have read many of Ms. Orme’s posts and I simply did not pick up on the fact that she was not the person with whom I was having these exchanges. I always thought she was level-headed, and, no matter the financial incentives, I would have thought the idea of becoming a kept woman would not only be morally repugnant, but could have been jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.
