Many people-of all races-looked at their (pre-COVID) 401 (k) investment track record. Some saw not only disturbances after the Floyd murder, but also the ongoing lawlessness in Portland and the calls to “Defund the Police” and demands to end “white privilege.” Those things didn’t sway me or the people who think as I do. But people on the left have to understand that they have lost the working class as well as a major chunk of the middle class. Words matter. Actions matter.
