My concerns about the Progressive movement go well beyond Henry Wallace, which is shorthand for where my argument will go when more fully expanded. I am not in agreement that what used to be called liberal Democrats can’t move the ball down the field. What is really scary is that even the good guys are so removed as to be out of touch (and the Republicans are virtually hopeless). After Conway’s statement yesterday that Trump believed lawlessness helps him, I fear this is no longer ignorance of the facts, but intentional fomenting of disorder. We may have to take more direct action to bring the facts to Congress’s attention. I cannot believe I am writing this. Things are reaching a breaking point.
