Thank you for your most gracious response! I look forward to reading your articles and making any comments that may be helpful. Unfortunately, my wife of 49 years would frown on my getting to know you too much better! I would hate to admit how long it took for me to begin to understand how women view interactions with men. Unfortunately, women’s fears are too often justified. On occasion, I would compliment a woman passing me by on the street. I mean a compliment-not a leer or a catcall. Many were gratefully accepted-but not all. The MeToo movement began the process of opening my eyes. I also became aware that many people-not just women-have to vent before they are ready to solve problems. I also try not to talk over women-but I have to try to do that with men, too! Most of all, I understand that people don’t often speak openly about how they feel-and why. I don’t have the answer to that. Meanwhile, I try to do my best and try to help others if they seek help.
