. The Best Way to Impeach Trump

On September 24, 2019, Speaker Pelosi announced that the House of Representatives would undertake a formal inquiry into the impeachment of President Donald Trump. It would appear that, when President Trump confirmed that he had discussed with the president of Ukraine a renewed corruption investigation into the son of Joe Biden at a time when President Trump had held back delivery of military equipment to Ukraine, the funds for which been authorized and appropriated by the Congress, a line had been crossed in the minds of many members of the public.

In the minds of many other Americans, there have been grounds to impeach, convict and remove President Trump for months if not years. As for me, I believe that he should have been impeached, convicted and removed before the end of his Inaugural Day parade. I base that conclusion upon his failure to divest himself from his hotel and resort businesses upon taking office and rather to transfer the control of those properties to his sons in a revocable trust. Is there anyone on the planet earth who thinks that the trust will not be revoked the instant that he leaves office? The news media have reported extensively on the governments in the Middle East and individuals closely linked to Vladimir Putin having financial dealings with the Trump organizations since Trump took office. Even if the management of those properties is not controlled by him directly (which I would think most people sincerely doubt), they can be no question but the revenues from rentals and event fees go to the bottom line of those operations.
