The tragedy is that the ultra-rich narcissists on the right were able to sell unfiltered free-trade concepts to government technocrats (largely on the left) which hollowed out our manufacturing sector. The decline of employment in manufacturing led to most of the social ills of the working class. While many other factors play a role, this one development did the most to produce the sense of grievance of the January 6 mob.
