Umair, you have written a truly excellent piece on an issue the left has not wanted to hear. If anything, you have understated the problem. The roots go back to the left’s failure to understand American history-the good (and there is plenty that is good, Umair!) as well as the bad. The left has thus far not only failed to consider the plight of the working class, but also may prove incapable of embracing any remedy.
