Steven Beschloss, a prolific author and commentator, tweeted the best summary of Trump’s actions looking toward the 2020 election and how to deal with him as I have seen:

Trump is not trying to win the election. He’s trying to hold onto power. That’s why massive turnout and a crushing defeat is critical to undercut his effort to reject the outcome.

What appears above is a portion of my local county website. Counties where the majority of Americans live have similar sites. For those citizens who are not so fortunate, the League of Women Voters website, https://www.vote411.org , makes it possible for every American to check registration status, to register to vote if not registered, to find the deadlines for voter registration and applying for a mail-in ballot, and, if voting in person, to find the location of your polling place, as well as what offices and questions are on the ballot.
