What you did was offensive and cruel. In and of itself, it is not worthy of the reaction it provoked. But how many other similar pranks preceded it? Your post made it sound as if she did all of the housework without help before that incident. Did the allocation of household chores come up earlier? It is clear she is getting a work history so she can live on her own. Your marriage is over. She will divorce you sooner than you know.
