Wow! Thanks for a well-written piece about the nature of life for the more recent generations. I put my college and my law school tuitions into the CPI app and found that tuitions ay both are more than twice the increase in the cost of living since graduation. I wonder what if anything students get from that increase. Not only must we grow the economy as fast as possible, we need a new consensus in society about what each of us owes the other. Mr. Crawford put it colorfully, but the issue of wealth transfer between the generations is one which had never been fully set forth in public debate. Figuring out how to have that debate and how to change things are critical.
