Wow! What a dystopian view of humanity. It is so different from the(comparatively) upbeat assessment by Boomers growing up. FDR pulled us out of the depression, and the Greatest Generation won World War II through shared sacrifice. We were Americans! We could do anything! I am not saying that this generation is incorrect in its view of humanity. But it does show that political and cultural leadership matter.
