Your piece deserves a much longer response than I am able to give here right now. I want to make two points. First, in spite of the Arab narrative, Jews have been in the land of Israel consistently for over 3,000 years. Second, in 1947, the U.N. voted to divide the British Mandate of Palestine in two-one part for the Arabs, one part for the Jews. The Jewish Agency, the government in waiting for the State of Israel, accepted the offer. The Arabs rejected it. The Arabs could have had their two-state solution over 75 years ago.
